My Grandma Beth

Grandma was the very best grandmother anyone could ask for! There are way too many fond memories to be able to list them all.

I loved that she was always an early riser...you could bet that if you were staying at Grandma's house or she was visiting yours, she would be up and on her walk or swimming before you were even out of bed! Loved going on walks with her.

My sisters and I all have amazing memories of "Grandma Camp" when we got to go by ourselves for a week in the summer to Grandma's house. We always had a great project to work on, like learning how to sew, though no one was ever as amazing at a sewing machine as Grandma! We all have great memories of the special books, toys, activities, and meals that were the perks of Grandma Camp.

She never missed a special occasion, it didn't matter what it was, if you invited her, she would be there! Birthdays, parties, graduations, baptisms, weddings, you name it, Grandma was there! She was the one that gave me my most treasured wedding gift: a antique cookie jar that was her aunt's...it included a handwritten note with the story behind it (c:

Grandma GG (as the great grandkids called her) was always the happiest when she had people visiting. She told us so many times that having everyone together was the thing that made her the happiest in life. As I said goodbye to her the last time I saw her, she wrapped her arms around my neck, gave me a long squeeze, and said "I'll love you forever!" and I know that's true, and we will love you forever, Grandma!
